Privacy & deletion
MatchWorks is a small, free Charleston tennis pilot operated by Glenn Saperstein. This notice describes how the pilot currently works.
What we collect and why
The founding form stores your first name, email, playing level, format, doubles group size, mixed-doubles preference, sets or practice preference, availability example, preferred locations, onboarding preference, acknowledgments and submission times. We use these details to organize the pilot and prepare onboarding. Signing up does not create an active request for a game.
If you join the Slack pilot, MatchWorks also processes your Slack account identifiers, profile details needed for matching, game requests, consent choices, suggested matches, delivery status and operational diagnostics. These records help run matching, respect your choices and troubleshoot problems.
Who can see your information
There is no public player directory on this website. The pilot administrator can access records to operate the service. Cloudflare hosts the website and matching service; Slack processes workspace activity under its own policies.
A pending match shows compatibility information. After both players express interest, MatchWorks includes their Slack profiles and offers a way to message each other inside Slack only. You may pass. Slack members can still see the profile information Slack makes visible within the workspace; avoid adding a phone number or sensitive details to your profile or messages.
Advertising measurement
We use the Google tag to measure visits and successful profile submissions attributed to our ads. Google may use cookies and online identifiers for this measurement. Our signup conversion event does not include the name, email address or tennis preferences you enter. Enhanced conversions, which would share customer-provided information for ad measurement, are not enabled by this setup. We also use the Meta Pixel on the Naples and Charleston landing pages to measure page visits, successful profile submissions and clicks to continue into Slack. Meta may receive online identifiers and page information and use cookies for advertising measurement. We do not include your name, email or tennis preferences in these events; automatic advanced matching and automatic event collection are not enabled. Meta measurement is skipped when your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal. Session storage helps avoid counting repeated signup steps in the same city during one browser session. A click to continue to Slack does not confirm Slack membership.
Retention
There is currently no automatic deletion schedule for MatchWorks pilot records. Founding profiles, game requests, match history, consent choices and diagnostics remain until an administrator deletes them. Expiring or cancelling a request stops its use for matching but does not erase historical records. Slack keeps messages according to the workspace’s plan and retention settings.
Your choices
You can decline any proposed match, cancel an active request, ask the administrator to stop onboarding contact, or request deletion. Submitting the founding form again with the same email updates your profile. We do not sell your signup information or publish it as a contact list.
Request deletion
Use the form below or DM Glenn in the Charleston Slack workspace. The request is recorded and sent to the administrator for identity verification and processing; submitting it does not instantly erase data. We will confirm what was removed and explain any records that cannot be removed, such as messages already held by another participant or service.
